We have complete on-site clinical laboratory capabilities for analyzing blood and urine for most routine and emergency cases. We practice in-house quality control of these tests to be assured of accurate results.
We use the services of respected certified veterinary laboratories throughout the United States which practice stringent quality control. All tissue biopsies, some cytology preparations, many serology tests, all qualitative and quantitative cultures of body fluids and tissues, and certain other routine and sophisticated tests are sent to these laboratories.
We offer a full range of diagnostic radiology (x-rays) services , including contrast studies of the gastrointestinal and urinary tracts, as well as ultrasound and endoscopy services.
Our clinic offers Doppler and oscillometric blood pressure monitoring, important in the evaluation and treatment of cardiac and kidney disease, Cushing's Disease, diabetes and hyperthyroidism.
Dr. Anna P. Davies, owner of Crossroads Animal Hospital is a Board Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist. She also provides in-house internal medicine consults with the other veterinarians in the practice.
Crossroads Animal Hospital also utilizes telemedicine as part of their diagnostic capabilities. This involves digitalizing x-ray and ultrasound images with computer technology, so they can be sent via email to be interpreted by board certified specialists in radiology, cardiology, and other disciplines. With an accurate diagnosis, the veterinarians at Crossroads Animal Hospital can institute the best treatment plan for the pet in a very efficient way.
