Pet Of The Month: Finlay

Finlay is a wonderful 8 month old Staghound who lives with his humans Kristy and Aaron as well as a 14 year old Saluki "Seva" and 3 cats: Matisse, Cleo and Camille. Finlay has been given a second chance after Guardian Angel Shelter rescued his litter along with some adults being used to illegally poach coyotes. He is now in a wonderful home and doing great after several weeks of treatment for the malnutrition he received early in his life.

A Staghound is a sighthound used in hunting to chase a variety of game. Although they have been around for hundreds of years they are not a recognized breed (which is fine with Staghound enthusiasts). Staghounds are very calm and affectionate and make wonderful companion dogs. Everyone at Crossroads thinks Finlay is a great dog and is happy he is doing so well!
