Riley and I came to Crossroads for the last time yesterday morning. He had been fighting his renal failure for about a year and 1/2, but took a turn for the worse on Sunday. I made the decision to let him go, because I just couldn't stand to see him in pain.
He loved being blow-dried in the morning as I was getting ready, and Furminated at night after I was done brushing my teeth. He'd jump into the bathtub and meow at me until I got busy. (Videos on YouTube - search for Carl729ae). He loved to be held, and would wrap his paws around my neck and bury his head in my shoulder.
He was a great cat, and Dakota and I will miss him every day. :(
