Our Sophie is a beautiful black cat that wouldn't be alive today without my dear friends at Crossroads Animal Hospital and our special loving care. Adopted from an animal shelter as a 1-2 year old cat, she came to us very ill - her nose and eyes were crusted over, she wouldn't eat and was emaciated weighing in at only 3.5 lbs. Through intravenous fluids, medication and force feeding special food we were able to save this sweet girl that has become the absolute love of my life.
Sophie couldn't have come to us at a better time as new "emptynesters" with a son just graduating from college and sending our other son off. She is a real beauty and incredibly loved by her "first-time" cat owners. Never ever thought we'd have a cat in the house but it was our oldest son who brought Sophie into our lives just as he was moving out.
Now we honestly don't know what we'd do without her! Our dear sweet Sophie is a miracle to us and I thank my son everyday for giving us such an incredible gift.
