Vaccinations are very important for your pet's health. The incidence of many animal diseases has decreased considerably since we began regularly vaccinating for them. Pets, especially those that go outdoors, are at higher risks for exposure to infectious agents.

While there is a core program of vaccines that every cat and dog should get, we map out the individual programs based on risk factors and lifestyle, starting from the time when they are puppies and kittens. This way, each cat and dog that we treat is ensured that they will be taken care of as a unique animal; no two pets are exactly alike and we evaluate each and every one of them for what they need. Although many people overlook this, the owner's lifestyle is also an important factor in deciding what vaccines are appropriate for the pet. Owners who travel frequently with their pets, for example, may want to consider different vaccinations than those who stay at home. All of our new puppy/kitten exams include a complete explanation of the immunizations needed and a schedule for providing them.
