Puppies & Kittens

There's a lot to learn with a new puppy or kitten, so we schedule the first appointment with your new pet for 1 to 1 ½ hours to discuss such topics as:

  • What is normal behavior? What should you expect from your new pet?
  • Nutrition/Feeding
  • Housetraining
  • Behavior enrichment needs/exercise
  • Obedience training for puppies
  • Vaccinations
  • Parasite Control
  • Grooming/Bathing/Nail trimming
  • Wellness exams (periodic check-ups)

We will conduct a complete physical exam and answer any questions you may have about your new pet. Each new puppy and kitten receives a package of materials that includes information on obedience and housetraining, dental care, and pet insurance, as well as information on local boarding facilities.

Our staff will schedule appropriate follow-up visits for your new pet. The number and length of those visits will vary with the needs of the animal.
